Aluminum Trihydrate (ATH – ALFR 9) and Magnesium Hydroxide (MAG FR) are halogen-free flame retardants widely used in adhesives, sealants, and caulks, offering protection across different temperature ranges. ATH (ALFR 9) activates at 200–220°C, releasing water to absorb heat, reduce flammability, and suppress smoke, while forming a protective alumina layer. MAG FR works at higher temperatures of 300–330°C, providing enhanced thermal stability, higher heat absorption, and a strong magnesium oxide barrier.
